David A. Koester
David A. Koester has joined the firm as a trial attorney working out of our Orange office. For the past 32 years, David has overseen litigation and been responsible for the delivery of legal services for the insureds of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company based in Columbus, Ohio. David joined Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company in 1985 in their Los Angeles Legal office as a Trial Attorney. Thereafter he was asked to lead all of the Southern California offices of Nationwide with offices in Pasadena, Santa Ana and San Diego. Following this assignment in 2005, he was elected as an Officer of Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and asked to oversee all of the legal offices in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio. In 2009 David was promoted to Associate Vice President and asked to take over responsibility for all of the legal offices in the West region. In this role, he was responsible for the delivery of legal services for 12 legal offices in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho and Utah.
David is licensed to practice law in the states of Missouri, Illinois and California and has tried jury trials in all three states. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri and U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He has argued appellate cases before the Missouri Supreme Court, Missouri Court of Appeal for the Eastern and Western District and the California Court of Appeal for the Second District.
