Matthew A. Yarvis
Matthew A. Yarvis has over twenty years of civil litigation experience in medical malpractice defense, healthcare law, elder abuse, financial elder abuse, defense of allegations of sexual assault and impropriety, premises liability, government tort liability, employment issues, contract/business disputes, defense of fraud/battery claims, ADA violations, EMTALA claims, cases involving IRB research misconduct, coverage issues and other complex civil litigation. Over the course of his career, he has been involved in all aspects of civil litigation, including all aspects of discovery (percipient and expert), multiple mediations, binding arbitration, all aspects of trial preparation and several trials to verdict. He has also successfully argued writs and has successfully opposed an appeal before the Second and Fourth District Court of Appeal. He has co-presented presentations for SCAHRM and has been involved in medical-legal presentations for residents affiliated with Keck Medical School of USC and residents and attending physicians at the UC Irvine Medical Center.
