Nicole K. Brooks

Nicole K. Brooks‘ practice focuses on matters involving medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, breach of contract and insurance defense. Her extensive experience includes all phases of litigation, including investigation, discovery, depositions, law and motion, mediation and settlement negotiations, trial preparation and trial.

Prior to joining the Fraser Watson & Croutch team, Nicole specialized in insurance coverage and insurance-related litigation. She authored hundreds of coverage opinions involving CGL policies, first-party property policies, auto policies, and, in the entertainment area, producers’ liability policies, studio errors and omissions policies, business expense policies, and personal liability policies. She also litigated numerous “bad faith” suits involving first-party policies and third-party liability policies. She also specialized in employment law and specifically, defending discrimination (racial, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation) and harassment litigation. For several years, Nicole managed her own insurance defense business, defending personal injury cases on behalf of two nationally recognized general liability insurance carriers. She has managed an extensive law and motion practice, has prepared numerous appellate briefs and has argued before the California Court of Appeals on several occasions throughout her career.
